Can You Really Believe in Yourself?
Can you really believe in yourself when your world is saying “No”? When the bills mount, your own doubt multiplies and everything is not in synch with what you dream?
These three people below did. Each had their own problems. It included rejection, failure, or circumstances that could change their journey. Maybe their journey was not laid out, but they did make a decision and stuck to it.
That decision was belief in themselves. It all happened before success, before proof and before anyone else believed in them, but they believed in themselves.
So the real questions I want to ask are, “Are you able to believe in yourself? What do you expect to happen when you do just that?“
Examples of Believing in Yourself
Check these individual stories for your possible answers.
1. Your first question is, believing in you? Walt Disney had 301 “No’s,” before he ever had a “Yes.” He also was fired because he lacked imagination and even was bankrupt. Disney is a $200 billion dollar empire now. He “lacked imagination” but he has changed the legacy of our entertainment field.
2. Your second is the question, No one believes me, why should I believe in myself? The world believed in Muhammad Ali, because he stated it often, “I am the greatest.” Later, when he came back he was saying the same thing. Why? Because he kept saying “I am the Greatest.” It was a rough journey of 3 years banned from boxing, but he came back.
3. We all struggle with this question-How can a dream become a reality? Here’s real proof. My own Master System Instructor started part-time because she was already full-time elsewhere, just testing the waters. It worked. In 8 years she moved through three achievement levels to where she stands today and calls this her career, not her side gig. Age? Over 21 (LOL). A regular person? Absolutely, for she was an employee just like most of us. And when family responsibilities required a move from up North to Texas? This career made that possible. Whoop!
