My Personal Journey (so far)
Bigger dreams of success with money and time. I was not happy where I was with money and time. I had to find a way to dream bigger. The most compelling reason was that I was uncomfortable with myself and my money obligations. I wanted to dream bigger!
This group offered me that change–in my attitude toward my finances and my idea of success. (Can I do this? I asked myself.) They offered a family of like-minded people that would encourage me to improve, learn and change-but, most importantly, a way to dream bigger.
Lessons From Life for Bigger Dreams
But, since I live on a farm, I have found that you have to go through mud, water, snow (Life) and have ACTION to get the animals fed and the chores done. FOCUS has always been my problem and I think I have found my ANSWER here at RRR247. When my preparedness (thanks, Boy Scouts) meets opportunity, then I flourish and succeed. My dreams have always been rather small and personal. I wanted to be a teacher and I became one. Afterwards, I was married and had a son and ended up divorced. I wanted a change and became a retail employee, then I retired and tried to live on retirement. That is when I wanted change, again.
Can Bigger Dreams Be?
Now, I can see a way to improve myself and my dreams. There is a 2012 Chevy truck down the road for sale. Right now, it is beyond my grasp. BUT, since I have joined with RRR247, I see a picture of it on my phone. Money has become a tool. I also know I will have the where-with-all to purchase a newer, bigger, house. Of course, some land with it, too, since we have farm animals.
Then, not leaving myself out, everything that I am doing through RRR247 is–selfishly–for me and my legacy. No matter what roadblocks appear–I know I can go through, under, over or around them and succeed with this business. Since I have joined, I have a mentor and a group of like-minded people encouraging me onward and upward. I am blessed every day. This makes me smile!
Set a Goal For Bigger Dreams-Time, Money
I may not know all I need to know to accomplish what I want, I may not have all the financial resources I want. Bigger dreams of success with money and time are being built a page at a time to accomplish my journey. Since Rory and Tanya have found a way to help everyone, I will succeed. They have found a way for me to change ACTIONS into my SUCCESS. Dreams = Goals = SUCCESS!
A = action C = confidence T = timely (treat myself well) I = improve O = ongoing N = never give up S = smile at your success [even if it is baby steps!!]
Further Down the Road–9-2024
Life does get “in the way” and it did in mine. My time and financial goals had to change with the passing of my landlord. Obviously, since this was a major shift in my life, I had to change. My residence changed, but my goals did not. But, they had to be put “on hold” while I was changing my focus. Finding a new residence and making sure I had a vehicle for transportation were very important points. I was still living on the farm and the closest town was 8 miles away.
To compound the situation, I had a 12 x 30 garage from my last move. Yes, it was filled with all the stuff that I thought I couldn’t live without. At the time, I was right. But now, my attitude had changed, so I was sifting through everything. Pictures and some tools I kept, but two-thirds of the items I sold or gave away. I was slowly moving on.
Checking My Belief
If you took a thermometer to check the level of belief that I had when I started, it would register in the lukewarm level. Thing was, I COULD SEE the bigger picture (and I knew that’s where I wanted to be), but I didn’t see anything but a pile of puzzle pieces that I had to put together! So, obviously, my learning curve was going to be slow but sure.
Everyone goes through this. It is part of the process. Our leaders tell us that that is part of the “patient process.” Crawl before you walk, idea. So, this is where I am at on this journey. My belief (with understanding) has moved up on the thermometer. Join me at a later time (yes, I have a specific goal with a deadline) to celebrate my success! Moving on–2026
Now, my duties of taking care of my landlady are finished. I also found a better place to live and I can concentrate on my business goals much better. I have never run my own business before, so I was the “newbie,” for sure. My 1-on-1 instructor, plus others on the team, have helped me immensely with their guidance.
There are times that progress has been slow, especially since I didn’t always understand the “Why?” of a process. This was me “getting in my own way,” not “trusting the system,” and “not getting my head in the business.”
Sometimes the “life gets in the way” is a big reason to pause on your journey. Aftere I went over the previous three hurdles, I had another surface-my own health. It lasted only about 6 weeks, but enough for me to lose the momentum I had built.
Now, I am trying to follow Re-set, Re-focus, Re-commit to continue my forward progress. I have even bigger goals–which includes to be a millionaire a year from now. We shall see. I also have visions of traveling in an RV-wouldn’t that be fun?
