Who Would Use a Charity Auction? A real question at an actual meeting. This open-ended question was asked in our group meeting. Everybody had an answer in their head and the two, Rory and Don, were much more verbal and offered more suggestions. This was an instructional meeting and we were all learning about Don’s Charity Auction work.
Obviously, the examples Don gave us of how the auction worked and the results for the individuals or groups that were helped was interesting. He was still talking about the various groups that had been helped. Rory then asked that question, “Who would use a charity auction?”
I wanted the answer, “Who Would Use a Charity Auction?” Rory answered by going to AI and asked it to list 200 different reasons for fundraising. It’s an eye-opening list (keep scrolling) and I think that was Rory’s point.

Charity And Philanthropy; 7. Creative And Artistic Projects; 8. Sports And Fitness; 9. Technology And Innovation; and 10. Miscellaneous And Unique Causes.

Each and every one of the following 20 items changes the individual’s life and their family around them. The corresponding expenses are a drain both emotionally and fiscally.
Fundraising would be a great need in this category. And the opportunity that you have here for an Online Charity Auction is just outstanding. The bidder pays for an item they desire and the recepient is “funded” with their commission. It’s a wonderful system.

3. Education And Learning
This list probably doesn’t cover all the educational expenses, but it is eye-opening to realize that the costs are huge. Even the schools do a type of fundraising by having children provide kleenex for class use. It becomes more noticeable as children progress in school.
I’m thinking of a Chemistry Class where I had to pay extra, just because I was doing experiments with the school supplies. Special Education needs can be an unusual expense depending on their situation, too. I have no doubt that everyone knows at least one or two people that pay their school loan payment. Educational expenses can have a big price tag, which could be off-set by a Charity Auction and its fundraising capabilities.

4. Business And Entrepreneurship

- Photography equipment

5. Community And Nonprofits
Now, we come to an area most of us are familiar with–the community and nonprofits. Life can throw some lemons your way. As I look back, there were times I didn’t have much, so I accessed the food banks to make ends meet.
But, on the other side of the scale, I also participated in holiday toy drives, literacy programs and blood drives to give back. If the Charity Auction had been available then, I would have probably participated in it, too. However, this is my opportunity to give everyone their chance to participate or inform others of this opportunity.

6. Charity And Philanthropy
Charity and Philanthropy take many forms. For instance, I am a member of a company that uses part of their profits to “make the world greener” and support other things such as “ocean conservation.” I am one of many that feel our support makes a difference.
As you read through this list, these are projects that aim to have a bigger reach and outcome than the local charities. The first one listed is water, a necessity for us all to live. To discover more information about any of them, I would suggest you check with Google. You may even find a “rabbit hole” of information for your category.

We all love our sports, whether we just encourage our grandkids or enjoy a specific sport on TV or actually participate. Every sport has needs for equipment and a place to play. The idea of a cell phone is definitely an invention development (from 1973). It’s only a little over a 50-year time frame, but this list tells you that “man” is not going to stop pushing the boundary of what they can create.
