Pets and Products

Pets and the Products owners choose to help their pets. Grandmother always listened to me tell her about everone else’s experiences with pets and their owners. Then, she would give her opinion about what I would suggest. I also received more of her own advice about pets and products. She didn’t use a computer and would give me “that look” whenever I started talking about things I found on the internet. “You can’t tell me everything you read is True,” she would say.

Now that I am away, we don’t talk as often. I know she likes getting “snail mail.” So, here’s the letter I wrote. I can guess her reaction to it, for they are “new-fangled ideas,” according to her.

Dear Grandma,

I didn’t want to wait for the next time I came home to let you know what I discovered, as well as I wanted to share with you some different things. I think I found some very unique items out in computer-land. Yes, yes. I know what you think about the internet.

Pets and Products--a laptop the granddaughter used to find these products

But just know that my next-door neighbor is the one that bought them and used them, not me. It was a necklace, an old-fashioned pill for humans and a dog “treat” for dogs. She also had a vitamin supplement. It’s our favorite subject, of course, pets and what owners do for thier pets.

So, get your glasses, a glass of sweet tea and go sit down in the kitchen. Make yourself comfortable and grab those home-made chocolate chip cookies, too. Turn up the volume on your favorite record and hum along. Yes, I know I’m “singing to the choir,” as you say, but I know how you are! Love ya!

Pets, Products and The Pendant Necklace

Anyway, here’s the first thing I wanted to tell you about. A friend of mine, Betty, has a dog. (No surprise.) This dog is a great dog. She minds well, even likes me but she has a problem. Duchess gets upset with any kind of rainstorm or thunderstorm! Whimpers, whines, gets anxious and paces during the whole storm. Of course, that upsets Betty.

Betty had purchased a pendant necklace. Her friend, Jane, had told her about it. In short, this necklace was to help: tune out chaos (in her life): decrease electromagnetic hyper-sensitivity symptoms and enhance her sense of well-being. The last time I went over, it stormed. Betty put the necklace around Duchess’ neck (the smaller dog). She wanted to see what would happen. Well, Betty was impatient and started to remove the necklace. Duchess went to her bed, instead.

Then, Betty said, “Look at her! She acts like nothing is bothering her. However, Duchess has definitely ignored the rain and is taking a nap.” This was proof. Duchess’ whine was replaced by her even breathing. Take my word on this one, okay?

Pets, Products and the Stink

Betty's two Dobermans, left to right, Katrina and Duchess.

Here’s one for humans and for dogs which Betty purchased online. The all-natural ingredients kill the odor of your gas! This is in pill form for humans and they even have dog chews for the dogs! Betty told me about this one, too. She says her other dog, Katrina, (the bigger dog) was the main culprit.

As soon as Betty got up for the day, she’d give Katrina (according to directions) her dose. The sound was still there, but the smell was not for the whole day. In addition, Betty liked her chili beans, so she took the human’s pills, too. Said it worked up to 12 hours for her, because I was there the day she ate her chili. It worked, too.

Pets, Products and Two Squirts

When I went to visit Betty the other day, she squirted something into Katrina and Duchess’ water bowl. I really thought, “This is crazy!” Betty told me this was another item from the company that offered her necklace. I said, “Okay. What is this? Why do your pets and products go together?”

Betty was always checking out “human stuff” in hopes it would help Katrina with her allergies. She bought this aerosol supplement and took it to the vet. She brought it home and used two squirts every day in their water. I said, “So that’s why they act bright and perky!” She smiled and said, “Sure. These are my babies.”

Well, I’m all out of “new-fangled ideas.” Yeah, Betty shared the computer URLs with me, knowing I would either write or talk to you soon. I checked these three items and decided to write, since I know your mail and break-time coincide. We can discuss it more when I come home.

See you next time soon,

Love, Your Granddaughter
