Positive affirmations or phrases are used to challenge and overcome self-sabotaging and negative thoughts. Therefore, these affirmations give us hope. They influence thought, behaviors and emotions. As a result, we improve our self-confidence, personal growth and well-being.
how do we get there?
Are you taking classes to better yourself? Good for you! Raise your head and take a breath. Do you smell it? It is time freedom. Do you feel as if your life has you shackled? Earning money for every hour you work? Yes! How do you change it? It is financial freedom. How can you change it?
Raise your head and look around. Do you see something better out there? YES. That is your first goal. This is your re-set. It won’t be like anyone else’s, for it is so personal you are afraid to even voice it. So, keep telling yourself that. Positive affirmation. Then do it again! Positive re-affirmation.
who, what, when, where, why?
You need to do this often! Who better to encourage you than yourself? Look in the mirror and say it out loud. Feels funny, eh? Smile at yourself as you say it and envision yourself doing what you say. Isn’t that how we learn? Try it, you will like it! It is really a positive affirmation. Do it often. It is needed to feed your goals. Write it down for yourself. Try to use all of your senses when you do this. That’s why the mirror is such a positive reinforcement. Woo-Hoo! Your first step. That’s great!
Never written anything down for yourself? Just think–did someone write you a letter or a note that made you feel better about yourself? How about if someone told you “Good Job?” Not much encouragement that way in this world, either. Think about any time you received encouragement. Do you realize that successful people have learned to focus more on their goals? That diploma or certificate was their goal. Yes, I just said a four-letter word. Another four-letter word goes along with goal = work.
are we there yet?
Do you realize that YOU don’t understand the process WHEN YOU ASK THAT QUESTION? That is what I call a “blanket” question and it is asked because you don’t understand and want to know more, but can’t even ask the right question? Guess what!? You will, in life, get a “blanket answer to the blanket question” and go away unsatisfied. I was always told, “don’t jump the gun”, KISS [Keep it simple, silly (choose your own word here)].
Never got the particulars to my unvoiced questions–because the other person didn’t understand why I wanted to know. My Grandfather was an excellent teacher for me, since he always gave me a reason as to WHY? Consequently, there were times that he left me to discover the answer on my own. I still remember those situations years later! Notwithstanding, he taught me how to think, analyze and proceed to a solution.
positive affirmations-discover the answer
In utopia, when someone hears that above question, we get a better answer. Since the person who answers that question understands just what you are going through. BECAUSE, they have had a similar journey and they understand what you are asking. In other words, they translate for you. Yes, we do speak a bit differently here in utopia. Our upline gives you that added encouragement and listening ear that you need at that time. They help you to re-focus and allow you to grow.
Be considerate, though. Try to keep your enthusiasm down in the middle of the night. (That’s when it always seems to happen for me.) They do need their sleep, too. Our utopia crosses over many barriers such as language, borders, personal experiences and learning new skills. Can’t wait? Try writing it down on the computer. This is one of the best “exercises” for you to learn. That’s exactly how I wrote this page. My thoughts were all jumbled, but I wrote them down anyway and then organized. I didn’t lose anything in the process, either. You may find your own “gem” of knowledge in those ramblings. Go for it! Eat that elephant one bite at a time! That’s what I was recently told.
positive affirmations for self-motivation
Now, this area calls for some self-evaluation. Which direction do you want to face on this journey? Do you allow distractions to change your direction of travel? Sometimes, life just throws things at you! Have you learned to react with positive self-belief that you can get over this bump in the road? My quickest affirmation is, “Just do it!”
Do you use prayer? I do, for it puts things in perspective for me. I am able to move forward without my emotions getting in the way. Also, when someone tells me to “Calm down,” then I know my emotions have overtaken my focus and I have to re-evaluate myself. That same person tells me to take a deep breath, too. You know; that works for me. Between prayer and affirmations, I can focus.
positive affirmations for encouragement
Thus, the result is–positive reinforcement weekly and even every minute of every day. Firstly, encourage yourself. Secondly, surround yourself with sayings that mean something. Thirdly, read/hear/sing things that mean something to you. Finally, surround yourself with like-minded people. Add positive affirmations to complete the recipe.
For example, our prayer group is a wonderful source of daily inspiration. Heck, just google positive reinforcement and see what “rabbit hole” of inspiration you can find. Prefer the spoken or singing word? Try YouTube. A half-hour with either enriches your life and changes your outlook. I just watched a movie called, “I CAN. I WILL I DID.” It spoke to me about life in general. I felt better afterwards, too. Maybe this is your way, too, of being motivated.
positive affirmations for mindset
Where are you on this journey? Are you asking for help to get over the bumps of life?? Are you trying it on your own (not good)? Furthermore, can you see your own journey, as you climb the ladder of success (goal)? In addition, being around like-minded people makes it easier for you to accomplish your goals. Examples include: I believe in my abilities and have confidence in myself: I attract positivity and abundance into my life: I am the architect of my destiny, and I create it with purpose: and I am worthy of success, and I am achieving it every day.
Mindset includes using positive affirmations for your organization, personal goal-setting and rewards received. So, in other words–re-commit. Have you ever found a time when you were your own focus, even just for a minute? (Usually that meant going to the bathroom. Don’t laugh at me, laugh with me!)—re-set, re-focus, re-commit–we are all searching for that utopia, whether it be just a few hours for yourself, or a whole career. Not there yet? In the meantime, your journey has started with one step! One last example: I am grateful for the journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
positive affirmations for results
As a result, that is how I walk and work in utopia. Some people even say it is like eating an elephant–one bite at a time. That’s how I live my dream. Most important is how!–Again, Positive Affirmations. Life tries to snuff out this most delicate feeling of enjoyment, laughter and contentment. Positive affirmations let you look at life and find all this.
The process is different for everyone, since all have different skill sets. My attitude was that “I don’t like computers.” My mind did not do well with writing code, so when that changed to what it is today, I can now utilize the computer, by gum! Change is good.
Conclusion
Positive affirmations allow my empty spaces to be filled with positive encouragement (a written note from someone), song (tidings of joy) and enjoyment. Therefore, be your own cheerleader, with a dash of positive affirmations to cover all the bases. One baby step, one bite, one day at a time. You can do this!
Finally, take time to praise and pass it forward. That has been my greatest pleasure! When others succeed, then you succeed. This is how I walk and work in utopia.
Raise your head, and raise your glass! Go for it! Success is Sweet!
